mSlo maxi K+ channel (Calcium-activated potassium channel subunit alpha-1) is a member of BK channel alpha subunit family and has the particularity to be regulated by both Ca2+ and membrane depolarization.BK channels have a tetrameric structure. Each subunit is the product of the KCNMA1 gene. All modulatory subunits encoded by KCNMB1, KCNMB2, KCNMB3, or KCNMB4 can associate with the tetrameric channel. MSlo plays a major role in controlling cell excitability, which regulates smooth muscle contractions, transmitter release, and innate immune system cell activation. MSlo maxi-K+ channel contributes to repolarization of the membrane potential as it exports K+ out of the cytosol.
Fusion protein amino acids 690-1196 (cytoplasmic C-terminus) of mouse Slo1 (accession number AAA39746); Human: 99% identityRat: 100% identity; Epitope mapped within amino acids 690-715 by Dr. D. Levy (Univ of Chicago); segment is 100% conserved in mouse, rat, human, horse, dog, pig, cow, Rhesus monkey, rabbit.

Antibody Validation and Application Notes
This antibody has been validated using the following assays:
This antibody has been knockout-validated in mouse brain (by Western blot and/or immunohistochemistry).
This antibody recognizes a single immunoreactive band of expected molecular weight when used to probe brain lysate.
This antibody shows the expected staining pattern when used to stain COS cells overexpressing target.
110-130 kDa
Quality Control
The following quality control assay is performed on each new lot of this antibody to ensure it meets designated performance requirements.
Each new lot of this antibody is tested to confirm that it recognizes a single immunoreactive band of expected molecular weight when used to probe brain lysate.
