We have now converted 27 NeuroMab and in-house clones (21 at the time of abstract submission) into recombinant chicken IgY antibodies, preserving their validated antigen-binding regions while adding the distinct benefits of chicken immunoglobulins—greater experimental flexibility, improved reproducibility, and broader compatibility with mammalian systems.

Truncated brain-derived neurotrophic factor (trcBDNF) is a less-studied BDNF isoform linked to neurological dysfunction, but its detection has been challenging due to high similarity with proBDNF and mature BDNF. To overcome this, Biosensis developed monoclonal antibodies targeting its unique N-terminal sequence, yielding 18 candidates that specifically recognize trcBDNF without cross-reacting with the other isoforms.
