Product Details
LAR/PTPRF (Receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase)
Receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase F or Leukocyte Common Antigen Related protein is encoded by the gene PTPRF and is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PRPRF is a transmembrane protein involved in regulation of insulin signaling, cell proliferation and cell migration. PTPRF functions in the regulation of epithelial cell-cell contacts at adherens junctions, as well as in the control of beta-catenin signaling. PTPRF is ubiquitously expressed. Diseases associated with PTPRF include Aplasia or hypoplasia of the breasts and/or nipples 2

Aliquot and store at ≤ -20°C for long term storage. For short term storage, store at 2-8°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the vial prior to removing the cap.
Liquid
Produced by in vitro bioreactor culture of hybridoma line followed by Protein A affinity chromatography and buffer exchanged into 1X PBS. Purified mAbs are >90% specific antibody.
PBS
Unconjugated
Does not cross-react with PTPRD or PTPRS
Each new lot of antibody is quality control tested by western blot on rat whole brain lysate and confirmed to stain the expected molecular weight band.
These antibodies are to be used as research laboratory reagents and are not for use as diagnostic or therapeutic reagents in humans.

UniProt Summary: Possible cell adhesion receptor. It possesses an intrinsic protein tyrosine phosphatase activity (PTPase) and dephosphorylates EPHA2 regulating its activity.; The first PTPase domain has enzymatic activity, while the second one seems to affect the substrate specificity of the first one.
