Product Details
5-hydroxymethylcytidine
5-hydroxymethylcytidine is a DNA pyrimidine nitrogen base derived from cytosine. It is potentially important in epigenetics. In mammals and is thought to be important in gene regulation. 5-hydroxymethylcytidine can be generated by oxidation of 5-methylcytosine, a reaction mediated by the Tet family of enzymes. 5-hydroxymethylcytidine is found in many tissue types.
