Product Details
Navbeta4 Na+ channel
Sodium channel subunit beta-4 or Navbeta4 Na+ channel is encoded by SCN4B. Voltage gated sodium channels are made up of an alpha (pore forming) subunit and 1 or 2 beta subunits. Navß4 is a transmembrane Protein And acts as a regulatory subunit in excitable membranes and modulates the kinetics of channel. Nabß4 is expressed in many tissues, including the brain (dorsal root ganglia), spinal cord, heart, and skeletal muscle. Defects in this gene are a cause of long QT syndrome type 10 and Familial Atrial Fibrillation.
