ICK
Serine/threonine-protein kinase ICK is encoded by the gene Ick. Ick is a member of the protein kinase superfamily, CMGC Ser/Thr protein kinase family, CDC2/CDKX subfamily. Ick has an essential role in ciliogenesis. Ick is envolved in the control of ciliary length by regulating the ciliary localization of SHH pathway components as well as the localization of IFT components at ciliary tips. Ick is highly expressed in the colon and lungs, with lower levels of expression in the heart, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and ovaries. Diseases associated with Ick include endocrine-cerebroosteodysplasia, juvenile myoclonic epilepsy 10, and juvenile myoclonic epilepsy 1.
