CUGBP Elav-like family member 4 (CELF4), or Brunol4 is encoded by the gene CELF4. CELF4 is a RNA-binding protein which is involved in the regulation of pre-mRNA alternative splicing and may also be involved in mRNA editing, and translation. CELF4 is expressed ubiquitously in tissues, and strongly expressed in brain. Diseases associated with CELF4 include Speech and Communication Disorders and Specific Language Impairment.
