Anti-VMAT1 Antibody FL594 Conjugate (N440/21)
Our Anti-VMAT1 mouse monoclonal primary antibody from NeuroMab is produced in-house from hybridoma clone N440/21. It detects mouse and rat VMAT1, and is purified by Protein A chromatography. It is great for use in IHC, ICC.

Product Details
VMAT1
Vesicular monamine transporters (VMATs) sequester neurotransmitters such as dopamine, serotonin and adrenaline into synaptic vesicles (Erickson et al., 1996). Two VMATs have been identified, VMAT1 and VMAT2. VMAT1 shows a higher affinity for serotonin (Brunk et al., 2006). Antibodies specific for VMATs have been used to monitor expression of the transporter during development and in aging and can be effectively used as a marker for monoamine terminals (Haycock et al., 2003; Witkovsky et al., 2005).
