Product Details
Synaptotagmin-10
Synaptotagmins are a family of calcium sensing, membrane trafficking proteins. 17 different synaptotagmins have been identified in mammals. Synaptotagmin 10 has been shown to function as the Ca2+-sensor that triggers IGF-1 exocytosis in olfactory bulb neurons (Cao P. et al., 2011).
Purified by Protein A chromatography

Aliquot and store at ≤ -20°C for long term storage. For short term storage, store at 2-8°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the vial prior to removing the cap.
Liquid
Produced by in vitro bioreactor culture of hybridoma line followed by Protein A affinity chromatography and buffer exchanged into 1X PBS. Purified mAbs are >90% specific antibody.
PBS
Unconjugated
Does not cross-react with Synaptotagmin-6 or Synaptotagmin-3
Each new lot of antibody is quality control tested on cells overexpressing target protein and confirmed to give the expected staining pattern.
These antibodies are to be used as research laboratory reagents and are not for use as diagnostic or therapeutic reagents in humans.

UniProt Summary: Ca(2+) sensor specifically required for the Ca(2+)-dependent exocytosis of secretory vesicles containing IGF1 in neurons of the olfactory bulb. Exocytosis of IGF1 is required for sensory perception of smell. Not involved in Ca(2+)-dependent synaptic vesicle exocytosis. Acts through Ca(2+) and phospholipid binding to the C2 domain: Ca(2+) induces binding of the C2-domains to phospholipid membranes and to assembled SNARE-complexes; both actions contribute to triggering exocytosis.
