Our Anti-GABA-A-R-Alpha2 mouse monoclonal primary antibody from NeuroMab is produced in-house from hybridoma clone N399/19. It is KO validated, detects mouse and rat GABA-A-R-Alpha2, and is purified by Protein A chromatography. It is great for use in IHC, ICC.
Gamma-aminobutyric acid receptor subunit alpha-2 or GABA AR-Alpha2 is encoded by the gene GABRA2. GABAA receptors are members of the Cys-loop family of ligand-gated ion channels. GABA AR alpha 5 is a subunit of the pentameric GABA receptors where GABA is the major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the vertebrate brain and mediates neuronal inhibition by binding to the GABA receptor and opening an integral chloride channel. GABA AR-Alpha2 is primarily expressed in brain at the cell junction, synapse,and the postsynaptic cell membrane. Diseases associated with GABRA2 include Alcohol Dependence and Alcohol Use Disorder.

Produced by in vitro bioreactor culture of hybridoma line followed by Protein A affinity chromatography and conjugation of purified mAb. Purified mAbs are >90% specific antibody.
