Transfected cell immunoblot: extracts of COS cells transiently transfected with Flag-tagged Foxi2 or untagged Kv2.1 plasmid and probed with N349/96 TC supe (left), Rabbit anti-Flag (middle) or N52A/42 TC supe (right.
Forkhead box I2 (Forkhead box protein I2)
Forkhead Box I2 is encoded by the gene FOXI2. FOXI2 is a possible transcription activator. FOXI2 is expressed in 29 organs with the highest levels detected in the branchial arch ectoderm (mouse). Diseases associated with FOXI2 include Coloboma of Macula.
Fusion protein amino acids 213-329 (C-terminus) of mouse Foxi2 (also known as Forkhead box protein I2, Hepatocyte nuclear factor 3 forkhead homolog 5 and HFH-5, accession number A2RTG9)
Rat: 74% identity (88/118 amino acids identical)
Human: 57% identity (70/121 amino acids identical)
Less than 50% identity with Foxi1 and Foxi3
Store at ≤ -20 C for long term storage. For short term storage, store at 2-8 C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the vial prior to removing the cap.
