Product Details
Clcn5
Chloride Voltage-Gated Channel 5, CLCN5 or H(+)/Cl(-) exchange transporter 5 is encoded by the gene CLCN5 and is a member of the voltage-gated chloride channel (ClC) family. CLCN5 is a proton-coupled chloride transporter. CLCN5 is involved in the acidification of the endosome lumen and is thought to play an important role in renal tubular function. CLCN5 is expressed in kidney, aortic and coronary vascular smooth muscle. Diseases associated with CLCN5 include Dent Disease 1 and X-Linked Recessive Hypophosphatemic Rickets.
