Anti-Arl13b Recombinant Guinea Pig Chimeric mAb (N295B/66)
Our guinea pig Anti-Arl13b recombinant monoclonal antibody is a chimeric antibody derived from NeuroMab clone N295B/66. It detects human, mouse, non-human primate, rat, and zebrafish Arl13b and is purified by affinity chromatography. KO validated. Works in WB, IHC, ICC, ELISA.
Immunohistochemistry for detection of Arl13b in adult rat brain lateral ventricle region using anti-Arl13b Recombinant Chimeric Guinea Pig Monoclonal antibody [N295B/66] (Cat No. 74-287) and co-stained with anti-GFAP Recombinant Chicken Monoclonal antibody [N206A/8] (Cat No. 78-240). Tissue was fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and paraffin embedded. Heat induced antigen retrieval was performed using citrate buffer (Cat No. AR-6544) and then blocked with Immuno Protein Blocking Solution with Goat Serum (Cat. No AR-6591). The anti-Arl13b guinea pig antibody (Cat No. 74-240, 1:100) and anti-GFAP chicken antibody (Cat No. 78-240, 1:500) were incubated with the sample at 4C overnight. After washing with PBST, the sections were stained using goat anti-guinea pig 488 (green) and goat anti-chicken IgY CF594 (red) secondary antibodies. DAPI nuclear stain (blue) shows cell nuclei. Anti-Arl13b specifically stains the ciliated cells surrounding the lateral ventricle.

UniProt Summary: Cilium-specific protein required to control the microtubule-based, ciliary axoneme structure. May act by maintaining the association between IFT subcomplexes A and B. Binds GTP but is not able to hydrolyze it; the GTPase activity remains unclear. Required to pattern the neural tube. Involved in cerebral cortex development: required for the initial formation of a polarized radial glial scaffold, the first step in the construction of the cerebral cortex, by regulating ciliary signaling. Regulates the migration and placement of postmitotic interneurons in the developing cerebral cortex. Plays a role in ciliar trafficking of phosphatidylinositol phosphatase INPP5E in ciliogenesis. May regulate ARF6- and RAB22A-dependent endocytic recycling traffic.
