Synapse-associated protein 97, Discs Large MAGUK Scaffold Protein 1 or SAP97 is encoded by the gene DLG1. SAP97 is a member of the MAGUK (membrane-associated guanylate kinase) protein family. It is a multi-domain scaffolding protein which serves to recruit receptors channels and other signaling molecules to the plasma membrane. SAP97 is expressed in heart, lung, epithelial cells and brain. SAP97 may have a role in septate junction formation, signal transduction, cell proliferation, synaptogenesis and lymphocyte activation. Diseases associated with DLG1 include Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser Syndrome and Depression.
Fusion protein amino acids 1-104 (N-terminus) of rat SAP97 (also known as synapse-associated protein 97 and disks large homolog 1, accession number Q62696); Human: 84% identity (87/104 amino acids identical); Mouse: 90% identity (94/104 amino acids identical)
No cross-reactivity against PSD-95, Chapsyn-110 and SAP102 expressed in transfected cells

Quality Control
The following quality control assay is performed on each new lot of this antibody to ensure it meets designated performance requirements.
Each new lot of this antibody is tested to confirm that it recognizes a single immunoreactive band of expected molecular weight when used to probe brain lysate.
