Leucine Rich Repeat Containing 4 is encoded by the gene LRRC4. LRRC4 is a synaptic adhesion protein that regulates the formation of excitatory synapses through the recruitment of pre and postsynaptic proteins. LRRC4 organizes the lamina pathway-specific differentiation of dendrites, and plays an important role in auditory synaptic responses. LRRC4 is expressed in the brain. LRRC4 is significantly downregulated in primary brain tumors.
Fusion protein amino acids 550-652 of mouse NGL-2 (accession number AAG60620); Human: 98% identity (101/103 amino acids identical); Rat: 99% identity (102/103 amino acids identical)
No cross-reactivity against NGL-1 or NGL-3

Quality Control
The following quality control assay is performed on each new lot of this antibody to ensure it meets designated performance requirements.
Each new lot of this antibody is tested to confirm that it recognizes a single immunoreactive band of expected molecular weight when used to probe brain lysate.
