Target Description:

This antibody recognizes both Cyclic Nucleotide Gated Channel Subunit Alpha 1 and Cyclic Nucleotide Gated Channel Subunit Alpha 3, which are both members of the cyclic nucleotide-gated cation channel family. These ion channels function in response to the binding of cyclic nucleotides. CNG channels are nonselective cation channels that are found in the membranes of various tissue and cell types, and are significant in sensory transduction as well as cellular development.

Immunogen:

Fusion protein amino acids 535-637 (cytoplasmic C-terminus) of goldfish CNG (also known as cGMP-gated cation channel alpha subunit, accession number AAO16601); Zebrafish CNGA3: 46% identity (47/103 amino acids identical); Rat CNGA3: 46% identity (47/103 amino acids identical); Mouse CNGA3: 46% identity (47/103 amino acids identical)
