Proline and Serine Rich 1 is encoded by the gene PROSER1. PROSER1 is a conserved protein with proline and serine rich regions, which may be important in protein-protein interactions. PROSER1 is expressed in the placenta and nervous system. Diseases associated with PROSER1 include Gerstmann-Straussler Disease.
