Kv9.1 (Potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily S member 1) (Delayed-rectifier K(+) channel
alpha subunit 1) (Kcns1)
Potassium voltage-gated channel modifier subfamily S member 1 is encoded by the gene KCNS1. KCNS1 is a member of the potassium channel family, S (TC 1.A.1.2) subfamily, Kv9.1/KCNS1 sub-subfamily. KCNS1 is a potassium channel subunit that does not form functional channels by itself. It can form heterotetrameric channels with KCNB1 and KCNB2. KCNS1 modulates the delayed rectifier voltage-gated potassium channel activation and deactivation rates of KCNB1 and KCNB2. KCNS1 is expressed in the brain. Diseases associated with KCNS1 include epileptic encephalopathy, early infantile, 7.
Fusion protein amino acids 1-186 (cytoplasmic N-terminus) of mouse Kv9.1 (also known as Potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily S member 1, Delayed-rectifier K(+) channel alpha subunit 1 and Kcns1, accession number O35173)
Store at ≤ -20 C for long term storage. For short term storage, store at 2-8 C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the vial prior to removing the cap.
