Transfected cell immunoblot: extracts of COS cells transiently transfected with GFP-tagged Gamma-protocadherin-B2 and -B1 and untagged Kv2.1 plasmids and probed with N148/30 (left) and N86/6 (right) TC supe.
Protocadherin Gamma Subfamily B, 2 is encoded by the gene PCDHGB2. PCDHGB2 is a member of the protocadherin gamma gene cluster. PCDHGB2 is a neural cadherin-like cell adhesion protein that most likely plays a critical role in the establishment and function of specific cell-cell connections in the brain. PCDHGB2 is expressed in the nervous system. Diseases associated with PCDHGB2 include Prune Belly Syndrome.
Fusion protein amino acids 719-804 (variable cytoplasmic domain) of mouse Gamma-protocadherin-B2 (also known as PCDH-gamma-B2, accession number Q91XX7); Human: 68% identity (60/88 amino acids identical); Greater than 60% identity with other Gamma-protocadherin-B proteins
Store at ≤ -20 C for long term storage. For short term storage, store at 2-8 C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the vial prior to removing the cap.
No cross-reactivity against other Gamma-protocadherin-A, -B or -C proteins
