Immunoblot against extracts of COS cells transiently transfected with untagged GABAARPi, GFP-tagged GABAARDelta or untagged Kv2.1 plasmid probed with N431/64 (left) or N86/8 (right) TC supe.
Bulk Order Anti-GABA-A-R-Pi Antibody
Gamma-aminobutyric acid receptor subunit pi (GABA(A) receptor subunit pi)
Gamma-aminobutyric acid receptor subunit pi or GABA AR Pi is encoded by the gene GABRP. GABA A receptors are members of the Cys-loop family of ligand-gated ion channels. GABA AR pi is a subunit of the pentameric GABA receptors where GABA is the major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the vertebrate brain and mediates neuronal inhibition by binding to the GABA receptor and opening an integral chloride channel. GABA AR Pi has been found in tissues including the uterus, ovaries lung, thymus and prostate.
Fusion protein amino acids 22-242 (extracellular N-terminus) of human GABA-A receptor Pi (also known as Gamma-aminobutyric acid receptor subunit pi and Gabrp, accession number O00591); Rat: 94% identity (209/221 amino acids identical); Mouse: 94% identity (208/221 amino acids identical); 50% identity with GABA-A-R-Delta and other GABA-A receptors
Store at ≤ -20 C for long term storage. For short term storage, store at 2-8 C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the vial prior to removing the cap.
