Our mouse ADAM22 (cytoplasmic) monoclonal antibody from NeuroMab is produced in-house from clone N46/30. It detects human, mouse, and rat ADAM22 (cytoplasmic) and is purified by Protein A chromatography. KO validated. Works in WB, IHC, ICC, IP, ELISA.

Cell-surface-expressed ADAM22 (F, magenta) and cell-surface-bound LGI1 (G, magenta) were live-labelled. After fixation and permeabilization, ADAM22 (total) was stained (Cat. 75-083; green), with nuclear DNA (blue, F and upper panel in G). ADAM22 S905F is on the cell surface binds to LGI1 as the wild-type. When ADAM22 C401Y is expressed, no cell-surface-bound LGI1 is detected. Scientific Background

ADAM22 is a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase) family and predominantly expressed in brain. ADAM 22 is non-catalytic unlike other proteins in the family as it does not contain a zinc binding domain. ADAM22 is a post synaptic neuron receptor for LGI 1 and also binds LGI4. ADAM22 serve as an integrin ligand. Mutations in ADAM22 are implicated in early infantile epileptic encephalopathy-61 and Brachydactyly type C.
