Anti-CNPase Antibody
Our Anti-2',3'-cyclic-nucleotide 3'-phosphodiesterase (CNPase) chicken polyclonal primary antibody detects human, mouse, and rat 2',3'-cyclic-nucleotide 3'-phosphodiesterase (CNPase), and is IgY preparation. It is validated for use in ICC, WB.
Left: Mixed neuron-glial cell cultures stained with chicken anti-CNP (red) and mouse anti-GFAP antibody (M-1375-100) by Immunocytochemistry. The CNP antibody stains strongly in oligodendrocytes, whereas GFAP labels the intermediate filament in astrocytes. Blue: Nuclear DNA stain, which reveals the presence of neurons which do not express either CNP or GFAP. Right: Western Blot analysis of rat brain tissue homogenate with chicken anti-CNP antibody (1:5,000). One specific band at ~48 kDa is detected corresponding to the molecular weight of CNP.

Spin vial briefly before opening. Reconstitute with 50 µL sterile-filtered, ultrapure water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material. Store lyophilized antibody at 2-8°C. After reconstitution divide into aliquots and store at -20°C for long-term storage. Store at 2-8°C short-term (up to 4 weeks) with an appropriate antibacterial agent. Avoid repetitive freeze/thaw cycles.

UniProt Summary: Myelin-associated enzyme that catalyzes the phosphodiester hydrolysis of 2',3'-cyclic nucleotides to 2'-nucleotides. In the mitochondria, regulates the functioning of the mitochondrial permeability transition pore (mPTP), and thus is involved in the mechanisms of cell death, both apoptosis and necrosis. Acts as an antiviral factor by suppressing the assembly of SARS-CoV-2 virions.
