Anti-Neurofilament light polypeptide (NF-L) Antibody
Our Anti-Neurofilament light polypeptide (NF-L) chicken polyclonal primary antibody detects bovine, horse, human, mouse, pig, and rat Neurofilament light polypeptide (NF-L), and is IgY preparation. It is validated for use in IF, ICC, IHC, WB.
Image of mixed neuron and glial cultures stained by Immunofluorescence and Immunocytochemistry. The cultures were stained with C-1390-50, Neurofilament light polypeptide (NF-L), Chicken pAb (red), and co-stained with product R-1388-50, Neurofilament heavy polypeptide phosphorylated (pNF-H), Rabbit pAb, (green). The Neurofilament Light (NF-L) protein is assembled into neurofilaments which are found throughout the axons, dendrites and perikarya of these cells. In contrast, the phosphorylated Neurofilament Heavy (NF-H) has a much more restricted expression pattern, being found only in developed axonal neurofilaments. Since both proteins are found in neurofilaments, the red and green patterns overlap, so that neurofilaments containing NF-L and phosphorylated NF-H appear yellowish. In contrast neurofilaments containing only NF-L appear red.

Product Details
Neurofilament light polypeptide (NF-L)
Neurofilaments are composed of three intermediate filament proteins: light (~68 kDa), medium (~160 kDa) and heavy (~200 kDa), which are involved in the maintenance of the neuronal caliber. Neurofilament light (NF68 or NF-L) is the most abundant of the three proteins.

Spin vial briefly before opening. Reconstitute with 50 µL sterile-filtered, ultrapure water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material. Store lyophilized antibody at 2-8°C After reconstitution of lyophilized antibody, aliquot and store at -20°C for a higher stability. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles. Store at 4°C for up to one month for short term storage and frequent use.
Lyophilized
Lyophilized IgY preparation, with sodium azide.
