Anti-mNeonGreen Antibody
Our Anti-mNeonGreen chicken polyclonal primary antibody from Aves Labs is produced in-house. It detects mNeonGreen, moxNeonGreen, NeonCyan, and other fluorescent proteins derived from mNeonGreen. It is affinity-purified IgY and is great for use in ICC, IHC, WB.
Immunofluorescent staining of mNeonGreen-transfected COS-7 cells using Aves Labs chicken polyclonal anti-mNeonGreen antibody (red, Cat No. MNEONG-0100) and showing mNeonGreen autofluorescence (green). The cells were fixed with 3% paraformaldehyde, washed with PBS, and blocked/permeabilized with 5% non-fat milk powder in PBST. The anti-mNeonGreen chicken polyclonal antibody (Cat No. MNEONG-0100) was incubated with the sample at a dilution of 1:500 (0.4μg/mL) or 1:1000 (0.2μg/mL) at 4C overnight. After washing with PBST, the cells were stained using goat anti-chicken IgY CF594 secondary antibody (Cat No. 80-1001-594) (red). The staining revealed a complete overlap between the signal from the chicken anti-mNeonGreen antibody and the mNeonGreen autofluorescence in transfected cells. The cells were mounted with Antibodies Incorporated Fluoroshield with DAPI mounting medium (Cat No. AR-6501). DAPI nuclear stain (blue) shows cell nuclei.

mNeonGreen
mNeonGreen is a monomeric bright green fluorescent protein derived from the lancelet Branchiostoma lanceolatum. Exhibiting an excitation maximum at 506 nm and an emission peak at 517 nm, mNeonGreen displays an approximately three-fold higher fluorescence intensity than Enhanced Green Fluorescent Protein (EGFP). Its monomeric structure permits functional tagging at both N- and C-termini without inducing steric hindrance or oligomerization-driven mislocalization of fusion partners. High-affinity anti-mNeonGreen antibodies serve as key detection reagents in low-expression systems, offering target amplification and reliable signal detection in Western blot (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunoprecipitation (IP) applications where native fluorescence may be compromised by chemical fixation or denaturing conditions.

Store at 4°C in the dark. Under these conditions, the antibodies should have a shelf life of at least twelve months, provided they remain sterile. For longer term storage, aliquot and freeze to avoid freeze-thaw of the antibody.
