GLP-1 is a peptide hormone of the glucagon family, produced by the L cells of the intestinal mucosa from the same prohormone as glucagon. The active forms are potent stimulators of glucose-dependent insulin secretion. The sequence of GLP-1 is fully conserved in all mammalian species examined so far.

Application Details

ABS 046-21 is suitable for detection of GLP-1(7-37), GLP-1(9-36) and GLP-1(9-37) with indirect ELISA. The recommended starting concentration for testing is 1 µg/ml. ABS 046-21 (as capture antibody) forms a sandwich ELISA antibody pair with ABS 046-03B (as biotinylated detection antibody) for measuring GLP-1(7-37) and GLP-1(9-37). The recommended coating concentration for ABS 046-21 as capture antibody is 2 µg/ml when used in combination with ABS 046-03B at a concentration of 0.1 µg/ml.
