Purified IgG derived from Human anti-Centromere positive serum (also known as CREST patient serum) conjugated to fluorescein isothiocyanate. Centromere refers to the DNA region where the kinetochore complex assembles, though these terms are often used interchangeably. Anti-Centromere Antibodies (derived from human CREST patient serum) are useful as controls in ANA diagnostics and also reacts with other species including mouse, rat, and hamster.
Lot dependent (1-2mg/mL)
Hamster, Human, Mouse, Rat
Serum obtained from an autoimmune patient was purified by protein A chromatography and then tested at a series of dilutions by immunocytochemistry on ethanol-fixed Hep2 cells that were in log-phase growth. The staining pattern obtained was consistent with the pattern expected for anti-centromere staining.
These antibodies are to be used as research laboratory reagents and are not for use as diagnostic or therapeutic reagents in humans.
