Stonin-2 or Stoned B Homolog 2 is encoded by the gene STON2. Stonin 2 is membrane bound protein that is involved in the regulation of endocytotic complexes and synaptic vesicle recycling. Stonin2 interacts with synaptotagmin to facilitate uncoating of clathrin-coated vesicles Ref:Walther, K., et al. (2001) V. EMBO Rep. Stonin2 is expressed ubiquitously in tissues.
