Immunoblots on membranes prepared from whole mouse (MBM) and rat (RBM) brain, and from human hippocampus [HBM(H)], cerebral cortex [HBM(Cx)], and cerebellum [HBM(Cb)].
QKI5, QKI6, QKI7 and QKI7b are alternatively spliced mRNAs from the QKI1 gene. The proteins are RNA-binding and have roles in the regulation of splicing, export and stability of mRNA. They are involved in myelinization.
