Anti-Beclin-1 Antibody
Our Anti-Beclin-1 rabbit polyclonal primary antibody detects human Beclin-1, and is whole serum. It is validated for use in IHC-Frozen.
Confocal microscopy of cytospin-isolated human white blood cells, stained with rabbit anti-Beclin-1 antibody (R-141-100 at 1:200, red), reveals classic punctate pattern consistent with localization to autophagosomes. Co-staining performed with anti-Myeloperoxidase (MPO, green) and a Hoechst nuclear counterstain (blue), identifying both MPO-positive neutrophils and MPO-negative lymphocytes. Detection of Beclin-1 with varying signal intensity in these distinct cell types reflects their different real-time levels of autophagic activity.

Product Details
Beclin-1
Beclin-1 plays a central role in autophagy. It may also play a role in antiviral host defense. It is ubiquitously expressed and it localises to the cytoplasm, golgi apparatus membrane, and in dendrites and cell bodies of cerbellar Purkinje cells. The unprocessed precursor has a length of 450 amino acids and an estimated molecular weight of 51.89 kDa.
