Fluorescent Total Cholesterol Detection Kit

A simple one step assay which can be used either as a Fluorometric or Colorimetric assay to detect the level of total cholesterol in samples. Cholesterol esters are hydrolyzed by cholesterol esterase. Cholesterol is detected via cholesterol oxidase.

Figure 1. Standard curve (fluorescence). Excitation 535 nm and emission 585 nm. R2 value=0.9977. Incubation time= 1 hour at room temperature. Standard curve range 0.15625 μM to 10μM. A new curve must be generated each time the assay is run.
