SAPAP2 (also known as Disks large-associated protein 2, DAP-2, or DLGAP2) is a member of the SAPAP or DLGAP family of proteins. SAPAP2 is part of the scaffold in neuronal cells of the brain and is a component of the postsynaptic complex. SAPAP2 acts as an adaptor protein that binds synaptic scaffold proteins, cytoskeletal proteins and signaling proteins including PSD-95. Diseases associated with SAPAP2 are autism spectrum disorder and several cancer types.
