Anti-Neurexin-1-Beta (Blotting) Antibody
Neurexin-1-beta (Neurexin I-beta)
Neurexin-1Beta is a member of the neurexin family. Neurexin-1Beta is a membrane bound receptor and binds neuroligins and forms complexes at neuronal synapses in the central nervous system. Binding parterns for Neurexin 1beta include CASK, Neuroligins 1-3 and DAG1. Neurexin-1Beta serves as a presynaptic marker and plays an important role in assembling presynaptic and postsynaptic machinery. This protein may be involved in cell recognition and cell adhesion by forming intracellular junctions through binding to neuroligins and possibly plays a role in synaptic junctions formation or maintenance.
Synthetic peptide amino acids 47-64 (ASSLGAHHIHHFHGSSKH, extracellular N-terminus) of rat Neurexin-1-Beta (accession number Q63373) Human: 100% identity (18/18 amino acids identical); Greater than 60% identity with Neurexin-2-Beta
Store at ≤ -20 C for long term storage. For short term storage, store at 2-8 C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the vial prior to removing the cap.
Does not cross-react with Neurexin-2-Beta
Each new lot of this antibody is tested to confirm that it shows the expected staining pattern when used to stain COS cells overexpressing target.
